Our private island Moho Caye,
is situated 12 miles East of Placencia Peninsula. In addition
to amazing wildlife, both below and above the water line, it
features 12 acres of coconut plantation and is surrounded by
a 3000 foot long perimeter of beautiful gold-sanded beaches.
Aditionally, the Belize Barrier Reef is only 9 miles away!
Part of the Wild Orchid Properties development,
the island will become a natural get-away, with cabana-type lodging
and basic amenities. And to make it all the more nature-friendly,
Wild Orchid Properties plans to restore the coral reef around
the island and to declare it a natural reserve.
While on the island, don't miss great bird-watching,
especially the pelicans at arm's length away. Snorkeling
above the corals you can observe fish, including snapper, jack,
parrot fish, angel fish, blue tang, sea cucumbers, sea fans,
8' brain corals, barracuda, schools of tuna, to name a few.
The water around Moho Caye gradually gets deeper
as you move away from the island and at about 300 to 500 feet
from the shore the sea drops off sharply to 100 feet and levels
off. This provides an excellent environment for deep-sea fishing
and diving.

be available to Wild Orchid Properties condo residents at preferential
rates.
